Flu Jab .....

I've never had it and I've never had flu in my life time either. When I am old and or suffering from asthma permanently I might get it. I rarely get colds either to be honest

My work was offering them to everyone a few weeks back.

I don't think I've ever had a flu jab.

And what exactly categorises the "at-risk" group? Diabetics, over 60's etc?

Respiratory problems, asthma, pneumonia in the past. Things like that.

Our workplace offers them for free, but I've never had the flu in my life and to be honest haven't even had a cold in the last 3-4 years. I'm against having jabs just for the sake of it. But if I was in the "high risk category" I would probably accept one

I've had it every year for the past 3 years - Being on frontline as well as in control it stops me getting it and passing it on to others. :)

It's free for all NHS staff iirc.

I haven't had it since I left the NHS personally. I don't think I need it at my age.

I swore to get it done every year after I had the flu about 3 years ago. I never did and got it again last year, followed by scarlet fever as a seconday infection. So I made sure I got the flu jab this year! Don't want all that again :D

It's worth having if you can get it for free. I've never had flu, but by my understanding it's an extremely unpleasant thing to catch.

My missus has been put in the high risk group because of the impending little one.
My boss used to hvae one every year and said the worst he ever had was a minor sniffle.
Me, I've never had the jab and get normal colds probably less than most.

Weirdly, the last couple of years I've never been offered it even though I have a disease which means a compromised immune system and I was offered the swine flu vaccine. However this year they're giving it to me so I'm going to go get it done.

Not had a flu since 1998, which was in my first term of uni, and let's face it, everyone gets the flu in the first term of uni :p

As for the jab, I've only had it done for the first time this year/month only because it was free and it meant getting out of the office for 20 minutes.

Was going to get this free through work but didn't think I needed it. My immune system is always a bit knackered after having glandular fever but I reckon a good tonic and plenty of vitamins should do the business.

I usually get it (have Asthma), last year I missed it and caught swine flu, the worst two weeks of my life, on the plus side, I lost a stone as I didnt eat for 90% of the time so im in two minds whether to let it happen again :P

After last year I definitely wanted to get it this year. We get it free at work. Email is sent round telling us the Doctor is in the house then you walk down stairs, fill in a form, she/he puts a pen like needle in your arm and job done. It's not even a proper needle :)
