I somehow pulled out my biggest week of production yet. Thought it would be down not up.

Welcome all you new folders. Just don't get dis-heartened when TSC-Russia crush us like a bug, they have just over 3 times our daily production rate

I think we should aim for eliminating any other teams from our threats list (would mean upping production by 12,000 a day) and stomping teams ahead of us faster.

Folding@Home is very generaous with certificates - infact you will have a couple already as soon as your first WU has been credited - find yourself in the Team Stats once you're on there and then click your name to take you to your personal stats page - there you will see a tiffy for your points score and a tiffy for your number of WUs so far

in the news i recognise the following points score tiffy's - though if you have a tiffy you want to show off there's no need to wait for the news post

Tiffys:
1k, 2.5k, 5k, 7.5k, 10k, 15k, 20k, 25k...
30k, 40k, 50k, 60k, 70k, 80k, 90k...
100k, 120k, 140k, 160k, 180k...
200k, 225k, 250k, 275k...etc...975k...
1mil, 1.05mil, 1.1mil, 1.15mil...and so it goes on

stanford will only recognise the two most significant figures so for example you can't actually get an official tiffy for 275k as it'll just come out as 270,000 - the values I use in the news have just been chosen to suit what people wanted, 375k sounds so much nicer than 370k or 380k.

Hope that's cleared up your question - as for when you will win one, it'll be 1,000 points as far as the news is concerned but feel free to post one as soon as you like

Thanks for the news, Rich! I've got another machine folding 24/7 now, although it's only an XP 2500+ Barton. I'm going to have a go clocking the **** out of it in a few weeks time, so I'll keep people updated.

Hopefully I may soon find a way of upping my output. I've got my last GCSEs tomorrow . Then I've got 10-12 weeks free before back to school for sixth form, though admitedly I've already managed to fill 5 weeks of it . Not quite sure exactly *how* I'm going to increase output though since money is not going to be any less scarce with the holidays.

Welcome to all the new members, i hope you'll enjoy being part of the worlds finest team.

I think a few more new members than usual will join up next week aswell and i have plenty of ideas for new gd pimpage threads in the future so it doesn't stop here.
I am however a little concerned that out of the minimum 600 people who visit the gd and almost certainly read the thread only 2.5% signed up. More gd threads will ensue.

Any opinions on adding a 'common folding myths' section to the sticky?

I can compile them from the gd thread and either put them at the bottom of the quick guide (as a separate part) or in Billys empty post unerneath it in the main guide.
I do intend to launch a poll based on this in the gd in the near future.
