Foo Fighters - Tour 2/3 July 2011

Gutted i couldn't make it, but glad that my tickets went to someone who actually wanted to go, rather than just someone at the end of an internet auction site.

I've been lucky enough to see some fantastic bands Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park and i will see the Foo's one day trust me :)
 
I can't say anything more for the gig on Sunday other than it was a gig of a lifetime, i love the three bands, and all three of them love their fans back, you can't ask any more than that!

Bob Mould, Seasick Steve, John Paul Jones and a performance of Wheels.

Immense, the whole crowd at the end of best of you just going and going was so good.

Deffinately the best gig I've been to. Worth the drive down from glasgow.

Biffy were pretty good to. Jimmy eat world were on too early (too bright) for me to be up for it yet.
 
I wouldnt have changed anything, their entire set was immense, biddy really rocked it too.

They were just immense, loved the guitar duels, was hilarious. The whole atmosphere was just incredible, we had a real good spot on the bank chilling.

Loved the wheels on the smaller stage with the crowd.

Got some amazing pics and vids which ill upload sometime this week.

The same as always happens, they haven't in all the years I've been going to the MK Bowl (about 22) the car parks have been an out and out disaster after the show. Thats why you park at or near the train station and walk as you can get out onto the A5 and then jump onto the M1 at J15 which is usually clear.
 
Me and my friend left just as the fireworks started and got straight out with no problem thankfully, we were home by about 12:30. Straight onto the A5 them the M1 at J15. The southbound stretch of the M1 leading upto J14 and 15 was just at a stand still! Some other friends that were also there said they were stuck in the car park for nearly 2 hours and didnt get back to Nottingham till 3am gone! Don't think I'd have made it into work on time if that had happened to us lol

Yeah on the Saturday we got in my car and had to wait about half an hour before they opened the gates - That was because the police said due to the amount of people walking, they had to keep the gates closed until it died down a bit...

Apparently they left the car parks locked (this was the Saturday) to allow the pedestrian traffic to leave meaning by the time they opened them over an hour later no one would let anyone in to leave so it was bumper to bumper, then at the exit we discovered the reason why it had sped up a bit...a fan was directing traffic, no sign of a single warden. Absolute toss.
 
Went sunday andi think it was one of the better foos better gigs. Stacked actors was brilliant,

On sunday Dave went behind the drums and jammed with Sea stick steve and John Paul Jones. Was pretty epic. I think Dave said he met sea sick steve at IOW festival and they found found out that steve went to Daves first ever Nirvana gig in some tiny town.

I got in at 3am (Sheffield) and had to be at work at 8.30am. We couldn't believe there were no marshalls to direct the traffic out of the car park, fortunately it had no chance of ruining our day as Foo's were so bloody good:cool: still annoying though.
 
there were quite a handful of marshalls as we left directing people to the car park and busses/train station (one had a megaphone), the others were just directing cars round the car park to the exit though as soon as we got onto the main road there wasn't a marshall in sight.
 
Yeah when we left there was one guy in a fluorescent jacket who told about four cars (including mine) that they had to lock the gates until the pedestrian traffic reduced. Then he disappeared - No other stewards - It was a complete free for all :p

Worst bit was the M1 though - Must have sat on that not moving once for about an hour :eek:
