Food next to Washing Up Powder

Just thought i would put it out there...

Is there any reason why you shouldn't put laundry powder and the softner e.g. Bold and Lenor products next to food??

Some people have a contrast in opinions on this one and it just seems silly to me :confused:

P.S - Would tightening the lid make a difference, or if it is in plastic/cardboard :confused:

No reason unless the powder actually gets into the food though.
