I'm moving tomorrow and as such wont have net for a week or so. I expect i'll want to have a bash on CS bots, but i really dont trust Steam's offline mode (last time i checked it wanted you to login to play offline ). How do i set it up to ensure that it'll let me in without an internet connection? :)

Thanks guys. I think before i pack up my PC i'll give it a go without my ethernet cable plugged in. Just to make sure. God i hate Steam!

Just be sure not to 'log out' of steam. Just right click steam icon and exit then start up again. If no internet is detected offline should come on. That said I have had problems with Steam offline before.

That's the thing, i never logout of Steam; just right click and exit. Yet it still logs me in when i start it up. Or is that because i took it off autostart? Hmn.. should i put it back on autostart do you think?

You mean it logs you in automatically, or you have to type in your password? It's always got to log you in when you use it.

It logs me in. I seem to remember taking it off autostarting when i boot-up (i hate programs doing that). I suddenly thought having that on might cause some problems.
