Very worried about the Bolton game tomorrow, if Vidic was available there wouldn't be a problem but currently missing for tomorrows game is Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans, O'Shea Anderson & Scholes add that to our unconvincing midfielders Carrick, Fletcher & Gibson and I do wonder how we'll fair against a much better Bolton side than we're used to playing against.

Just to need grind it out and win at all costs and hope come the West Ham game we've got our defenders back.

One possible silver lining could be that I think WBA will get some form of a result against Arsenal and likewise City against Chelsea.

One thing that made me  is SSN suggesting Hargreaves may be involved in tomorrows game - now that would be a massive lift going into the last part of the season

Head says that this bit of news is completely unfounded though other than he's trained all week - pretty sure he did that for a couple of months before but made no appearances come match day

Given the defensive crisis, if this is true I think its quite likely he will play -

Daily Fail said:
Hargreaves has trained all week after lengthy treatment in Germany and was withdrawn from a reserve game against Sunderland on Thursday.

Team I'd like to see tomorrow:

...................Almunia
Sagna....Squilacci...Koscielny...Clichy
Nasri.....Rosicky....Wilshere...Arshavin
...........Chamakh....Van Persie

However knowing Wenger I'd expect a 4-3-3 with Denilson instead of Chamakh, with perhaps a possibility of Bendtner playing RW and dropping Rosicky.

It'd be a good time to play Arshavin, let him loose a little bit.

He's a bizarre player alright, seemingly is lazy in almost everything he does and is too small. Yet averages a goal or assist every two games. Only a few strikers in the EPL can match that. !

Confident about the game against Villa today for some reason! We have been playing well recently, so should at least be a decent game!

Also, there is a small chance that Kightly may feature, which would be awesome. Hammil and Jarvis have been brilliant though, so Kightlys fitness is primary concern, not getting him on the pitch to create chances, thats something the other 2 have been doing fine!

Milijas played well in O'Haras absence, fingers crossed for a 4-5-1 with Hammil - Milijas - Henry - O'Hara - Jarvis in midfield

Didn't know he'd been withdrawn from the reserve game, problem is though when it comes to Hargreaves that could just be because he felt a twinge again

I just read this too - I wouldnt be surprised if we try him as a sub today (given the length of some injuries, some players wont be back until well after int break from the sounds of it), so that he becomes a little more of an option after the internationals - as long as there is no breakdown / reaction to the game today.

Would dearly love to see him play some part in the League / FA Cup upto the end of the season ( he is out of the CL squad I believe isnt he? would be very surprised if he was included)

sounds like first choice defence (from those available today) will be

Brown Smalling JEvans Evra

(and I guess if Evans doesnt make it, it will be Brown in the middle with Fabio - or Fletcher - as RB). I presume Fletcher has recovered from his bout of illness last weekend - havent seen anything either way on that.

I think Spurs will be facing a stern test against West Ham today, they're looking a completely different team now they have Hitzlesperger and Gary O'Neil in their midfield.

Again I think it'll depend on whether Sandro handles the fast tempo of the game freeing up Modric for what he does best. Rumours that Bale is fit enough to start should see the tireless but limited Pienaar consigned to the bench.

Defence is also a concern with Gallas 50/50 for a starting place, I've lost faith in Bassong as his concentration lets him down and gives away silly fouls so I'm hoping we don't have to use him. Up front Defoe has to start IMO as Crouch won't be that effective against Upson.

Time for Spurs to play attractive football and show they mean business.

.

O'neil has been completley rubbish and hitzlesperger, a couple quick goals, one really good performance, couple very average performances, their good form started LONG before the german came back and as I said, O'neil has been consistantly rubbish since he joined, though improving.

West Ham have simple had an injury crisis that make Arsenal, Utd, Spurs look stupidly healthy, and for two years, and that knocked every last bit of confidence out of their play, it started to come back a few games before Xmas, they've played great football on and off, but as soon as they either scored, or conceded, got into utter devestating panic mode, something they've done less. Panic mode = long ball, and they are truly attrocious when they play it, when they pass they are fast, good movement, create chances, look dangerous, keep the ball well and stop the opposition having it all the time. When they long ball it, Cole wins it, and has no support, or gives away a foul, its just constant unending pressure start to finish when they are in panic mode.

Spurs really shouldn't have a problem, at their best they are a top half team, but really only just a top half team, Spurs are much better, but themselves prone to those dominating but can't score games. I'd be surprised if West Ham got any points today.
