Football Banter Thread

A rule/law using terror/security as a basis?

Manchester United has banned fans from bringing tablets and laptops to football matches at its stadium.

The club said it was reacting to "security intelligence", adding the restriction was in line with new checks on electronic equipment at airports.

The Police weren't involved, The EPL have nothing to do with it and the FA haven't commented. They even have dimension restrictions so anything above 5.9" is banned. Am I missing something here? Admitting they don't want to people recording would be more credible.

It's not like tablets have better cameras than phones. If anything it'll be to stop them holding them up to record, which can block the view of others around them.

Or perhaps it's because their security team have determined that they could be a threat and so they've banned them.
