Football Banter Thread

Hey guys, just thought I'd give a mention to something. An 11 year old drum student of mine is a keen footballer and his dad supports him a lot. He recently paid for some special day at the Arsenal. I don't know how much this really means, but he's been selected to be part of their development team. Presumably they think he's reasonably talented. He showed me the official letter with Arsenal logo. He's expected to train twice a week on tuesday and thursday with matches on weekends. I normally teach him on saturday so that will probably change but they don't know if it's matches every weekend or not. I believe this goes on till sometime next year and then they would either take him further or tell him he's not up to it. Whether he's the next million pound player to be sold to some club I've no idea, but anyway, pretty cool huh. :)
 
People are really stupid sometimes, Pearce was watching Andy Murray and LUFC were trying to finalise a deal for a (shock horror) Italian striker. It didn't materialise, however.

Leeds signed 15 players in this window, more players than in the past 6/7 windows, I'm not sure what fans were expecting? So stupid.

Also we were never in for Becchio :p
 
Question, where do we talk about football in general now, here? Seems a bit daft to open a thread for a splash in the pan topic.

Surely plenty still to talk about in terms of press remarks, gossip and transfers.
