  15. What's your pet hate in football? Lack of video refs leading to so much rule breaking. Diving, pushing, penalty areas at corners, keepers handling outside the area when throwing the ball out (there are some keepers awful at this). All could be eradicated by video refereeing.

Other. Grass roots football in all of the UK is in quite a state compared to countries across Europe. Nothing to do with academies, but how kids aged U16 are actually coached, those who play on a Saturday morning and train on a Tuesday evening on the astro. How coaches are taught to gain a coaching licensed, the knowledge they are provided which they then provide the kids. It is all of a very low quality across most of the UK.

Yes, definitely, but not the only problem. Its just the 'money culture' which has spawned in football in general, it used to be about the game, now its about cold hard cash. There's enough evidence to show that the teams finish roughly where they place in a list of how much money they spend each year.

See above! Combined with the way certain teams get away with murder on the pitch, and others get nothing but aggro (United and surrounding / pressurising of officials, whilst other teams get fines, players sent off etc)

All of the above, really. There's a clear anti-english agenda coming out of UEFA and FIFA for years now which doesn't help. But our own FA are useless, especially at letting our own youth develop. Why cant our youth teams compete in lower leagues like in Serie A or La Liga ? instead they sit around, playing ~ 1 game a month, if that.. and somehow they are expected to develop? and the blame is pushed onto the club because they dont play un-tested youth players in the PL, madness.

    Yes in terms of bringing kids through, no in terms of suitably training them. I remember reading about kids at youth level being taught to bully opponents rather than outclass them and I've experienced it myself.

    Best in the world, not too sure. Possibly the Bundesliga or La Liga. I think the best league in England is the Championship.

    No, if anything its forcing us to adapt the way we play football in this country. Look at some of the youngsters coming through the ranks at Arsenal as an example.

    The structure of the Premier League and the wealth being heavily concentrated within 4-5 clubs. I agree with clubs making money through themselves, but the current structure of the league means surprise packages rarely do better than a Europa League spot.

Do you think enough is being done for youth football in this country? Probably not. Other countries seem to be producing better young players.

Do you think the Premier League is the best in the world? If not which is? I think it's a toss-up between La Liga and the Premier League. Currently in my opinion the Premier League is more competitive. But that might be subjective to the fact Barcelona are an extremely good side at present and rather unbeatable/unstoppable at times.

Do you think the ammount of foreign players are damaging the English set up? Not at all. I think it's a nonsense argument. If anything, English players have learned and enriched themselves by playing with and against the better foreign players in the league.

Do you think football violence is a problem in England? Probably isn't as bad as people think but unfortunately football is a rather simplistic sport and therefore attracts a certain amount of simple-minded people.
Is debt in football a problem? It is for some clubs obviously. Not for the bigger clubs who are pulling in enough income to manage it.

Which leagues do you watch? Premier League. Watch the bigger games of the La Liga but aside from that I don't have the time.

Whats your pet hate in football? The play-acting. Not diving necessarily or going down easily but the sight of a grown-man pretending to be hurt and crying for literally a minute until he gets his way is hard to stomach.

Who don't you like in football? Steven Gerrard/Wayne Rooney/Joey Barton/John Terry just seem like absolute scum of the earth as people.

11. Is debt in football a problem? Yes. Too much borrowing is the downfall of many clubs. Hardly any club is truly debt-free it would seem.
