Football Management Game ?

Looking at getting back into a good football management game on the PC.
The last one I played to death was Championship Manager 00-01 which I played until recently.

I did try Football manager 2006 on the Xbox a long while ago but found it no where as good as CM.

Any recomendations would be appreciated

Just get FM 2011 no questions asked!
Only other option is Fifa Manager 2011 but I'd say get FM its a much better game.
Theres no Championship Manager this year.

Football manager is the only to go mate, it's even better with 11.

The old, brilliant, Championship Manager games were made by Sports Interactive & Eidos. about 2003/2004 they parted ways. Eidos got the rights to the 'Championship Manager' name, whilst Sports Interactive got the rights to the source code for the game series. S.I. then went on to use this source code as a base for their own brand - Football Manager.

Therefore - Football Manager games are the actual continuation of the C.M. series, and are generally regarded as the best. (Because they are.)

Championship Manager games are different games from different programmers, sold under the C.M. name and usually with visual similarities to the old ones.

tl;dr - get Football Manager 2011.

Played FM05,06,07,08,10 (thought 09 was pish, after playing the demo) and now currently in 2020 with FM11.

FM11 is the best so far. Although 07 was pretty special at the time.

I play a lot of it when I'm meant to be doing Uni assignments etc.

Can usually get through a season in a week or less (sometimes literally 24 hours.)

What made you choose FM11? Seriously, I echo the FM11 calls. Don't even bother with whatever number Championship Manager is at now.

Iv gotten into the habit of a season a week at uni as well.... Just need to actually do uni...

Yeah, sorry I haven't posted more. I've hardly played due to being flipping knackered after work. Still I go on Xmas hols next from next Friday, well until Monday/Tuesday of the week after when I have to do some out of term days. Will try and play a bit over Xmas/New Year.

I've hardly played as my laptop is falling to pieces and it is painfully slow. My new system arrives next week so watch this space!
