Ok, who would you say is the greatest player ever to play for your club??

For me, Stan Collymore has to be Southend's - sheer raw talent, and had the potential to become one of the greatest English centre-forwards in the last 30 years. Just a shame he became better known for his off-the field antics, and never really fulfilled his full potential.

So, who's yours?

Without any doubt in my mind, Danny Blanchflower. He was the inspiration behind the team which won the double in 1960-61, and had further successes in the next few years.

I can't really comment on Arsenal pre about 1990, but in my time: Adams, Bergkamp, Henry spring to mind. I guess Adams with his leadership skills would tip the balance.

Going soleley by the years I've been alive and follwing football.

Steven Gerrard for 'pool.....

maybe robbie fowler if I think back a bit

George Best, probably the most complete footballer ever. Could play with both feet, could tackle and header, had skill, pace and determination and put fear in opposition teams. Very hard to mark or take the ball from. Scored fantastic goals from inside and outside the box. He could have played anywhere on the pitch and succeeded at his role. A one-off. :)

SHEARER 206

Is that a car?

Alan Shearer or Simon Garner (for Rovers)

Would struggle to pick between them, Shearer has scored some fantastic and important goals for us, but then so has Garner (and he was the first person I ever saw score a goal live, so is always going to be memorable)
