Why would it charge faster? QuickCharge does not require any special cable.
If the phone is QC4.0 compatible (of which not many are) then it will charge at whatever rate the maker has specified. Otherwise it will only charge at QC2 or 3 depending on phone. If it's OnePlus etc then they will revert to normal USB charging speeds not fast charging unless you use the propitiatory charger and cable for their fast charging methods. For reference, Samsungs, LGs and other first party makers all support QuickCharge 2.0 minimum with the latest models also supporting USB-PD so a QC4.0 wall charger will output at whatever the maximum those devices support.
According to Google these are the only devices out that support QC4:
AGM X3
BQ Aquaris X2
BQ Aquaris X2 Pro
LG G7 ThinkQ
LG V40 ThinkQ
nubia Z17
nubia Z18
Razer Phone
Razer Phone 2
Qiku N7 Pro
Smartisan R1
Xiaomi Mi 8
Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro
Xiaomi Mi A2
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3
Xiaomi Poco Fi
ZTE AXON Pro 9
The S20 is the first phone in the world to support USB-PD 3.0 and its relevant new specs. But don't be fooled by the 25w vs 45W optional adapter. The Note 10+ also supports it (just without the PSS specification certs yet). The actual difference in a full charge time is around 15 minutes between 25W and 45W because after 30% charged from 0, the voltage/current start to tail off to prevent damage to the battery or generate too much heat. This is the dynamic voltage control of USB-PD. 15 minutes is not enough of a timesaver to warrant the extra cost of a 45W charger. from Samsung.
Only Samsung currently make a compatible charger for this 45W spec but other makers will have their models using the same Samsung controller by year end I'd imagine.
Realistically all flagships at minimum should be using USB-PD 3.0 from next year... You'd hope.
