For the Love of God. FIX the connection Errors on BF2 !!!

Is there any reason why at certain times it won't connect?

I gamed fine for a bit this afternoon but now it just doesn't connect again to any server.

Clearly not a wireless issue as it seems to be fine at certain times.

Nah,

Live in my own place now in Kilburn. Perhaps the game not working is a sign forme to be revising for my exams in 2 weeks time.

Oh well

Just gamed some CSS and i got pings of 13 ms on a 16ppl server.

Sounds about right then lol

I have played BF2 since the release day and love it.

I bought 2142 with the same expectations and was hightly let down, only played a few hours of it since :(

Long live BF2 :p

Yeah played the BF2142 demo for 30mins and didn't like it,

Felt like the UT2004's vehicle mode (can't remember its name now)

get same connection issues with bf2142. will let me play for a while then will freeze and connection lost.

possibly a wireless problem (for months it was fine though)

probably its my isp SKY :/

The shamble is unbelivable though,

I just played CSS through and everything is so streamlined and fast, its incredible compared to battlefield where the game takes ages to load up, the server navigation system is a joke and maps take ages to load ,

After all that they managed to get the gameplay damn nigh perfect if you ask me. Now i have gamed enough to appreciate how much they've done it right and still screw up elsewhere.

LOL, cs:s has much better server selection i agree with that, and maps do load a lot quicker, but you have to bear in mind that bf2 maps are a lot differntly constructed to that of cs:s, especially if you have a map that has planes on etc. I also have no problems with bf2 other than once in a blue moon, the only times i ever get kicked from servers, is excess teamkilling :p or high ping when my sis is downloading stuff on her pc :rolleyes:
 
Just gamed now for an hour and its fine.

Clearly the problem is only occuring at night?

So any more ideas?

well it doesnt take long to load if you have a good setup.. the maps are much bigger than CSS..its uncomparable actually.

BF2 is fine and doesnt need another patch, the server browser isnt that bad.. try www.bf2tracker.com if you game with friends its easy to keep track of them and servers :)

Mainly play lone wolf.

Is there a OCUK server where everyone from here play? I can't be bothered to trawl through the huge thread to find the ip.
