For those into fitness, do you avoid 'junk food'?

I try to keep it to a minimum. I like to enjoy myself but I am conscious about how much crap I've eaten today/this week/this month.

I'm quite lean as it is, but recently I decided to try and cut down all the rubbish I'd been eating, revised my diet to a weekly plan, making sure I'm eating every 3hrs, and eating well.

Pity, as I've knackered my knee since then and both car has been frozen to the earth and can't afford the fuel to get to the gym (it's THAT bad atm!).

Still doing lots of floor based exercises, free weights, walking and eating healthy :)

Not had a McD's for a good few weeks, I was massively hungover :(

... Although saying all that - I've just checked what I picked up for lunch today (was still asleep when I sorted everything this morning)

Nuts, granola bar, breakfast bar, SUPERNOODLES! ahaha :(

I think my diet is pretty good, i dont drink alchol or fizzy drinks or have takeaways. I do treat myself sometimes with a bit of choc (does choc flavour protein drinks count?). If i moved out i would have 100% control on my diet and i would make it perfect as possible.

I don't think it will harm you as long as you eat it in moderation, but the main focus is that you don't get side tracked and indulge more than you should, i've made that mistake many times in the past, but once the results from good nutrition and training shows, you get in the zone.

My biggest challenge will be over the Christmas period.

My will power gave in. I went to the local butchers and bought some sqaure sausage.

mmm, check all that fat:

Add some Bacon and tomatoe sauce (notice it's wholemeal bread cos I am proper healthy)

Om nom nom. Heart attack sandwich.

It's my first red meat in about 3 weeks, so that makes it ok :p

Everything in moderation

Quoted for the truth, not unusual to fill up on cobra and curry with all the trimmings 2-3 times a month during the NFL season with mates though. Why deny yourself if the other 25 odd meals you have consumed during the week are bang on and you can afford the filth.

My biggest challenge will be over the Christmas period.

I tend to eat less and better on the whole in the run up to and over x-mas because I know all the crap I'm going to get given to eat!

The only 'bad' things will be any chocolate in my stocking usually I'll turn anything else down. Other than the rich puddings my diet won't be any different.

I'll eat as much of my chocolate as I can at once so that I feel sick and will be put of touching what's left :p

Terrys Chocolate Orange - GET IN MY BELLY.

If you want to get into what is bad for you then try living to a holistic diet. Then you realise how much rubbish is in food. I eat dairy free spread. Don't drink milk. Rarely eat red meat or fish.

So dairy free spread is a healthier food than red meat and fish? haha nice joke!

Nope. I'm just not a big meat eater. It also means I am less likely to eat McD's etc... But like anyone I do enjoy my 'treat's', from time to time.

Oh right, thats o.k,sorry for getting the wrong end of the stick mate.

Surely you'd be better off eating butter than dairy free spread though. Dairy free spreads are heavily processed and often contain hydrogenated fats. The natural fats in butter have got to be far healthier.
