Ford Escort Concept

I just came across this concept for a new Escort, which I thought looked rather nice and I would share it. I am perhaps remember the older Escorts better than most but wondered what people thought of this?

My Dad, many years ago had the original shape in bright yellow, was only a 4 door 1100 (I think) but I loved the car till some idiot wrote it off by driving into the back of it whilst it parked outside the house.

There's been reports of a 'new' Escort for years, with many concepts drawn up.

last i heard they were bringing it back as a Hybrid :confused:

I did but if I said I typed "Escort" into Gologle people would have got the totally wrong idea.

There was a lovely one at the Classic Car and Bike show the other week, they just seem to be getting better with age.

Think this idea (and similar looking concepts) has been around for a few years now, I gologled it a while ago but everyone seemed to be of the opinion that it was never going to be made. Shame really, as these retro-modern cars like the challenger/charger/mustang/camaro have all worked pretty well. Maybe Ford just need a bit of pressure putting on them, because I dont think the others were being made until there was some public pressure.
