At the moment it has a standard radio and cassette it is a 51 plate. Is there a specific mounting bracket I need, in order to replace the current casset player with an MP3 player? Where would be the best place to purchase one?

If you can advise I would appreciate it :)

I changed my standard cassette player in my 51 plate Fiesta Flight too. I got the fascia plate from Halfords (can get them online but Halfords was easier for me - cost me tenner I think). It then just clicks into place.

Thank You Halfords I will try then

Should have said, its not an actual mounting bracket as such, as the radio/cd/mp3 headunit will fit in anyway. However once that is in place there will be a gap around it, as the standard ford unit is quite tall, so you just need this bit of plastic to cover the gap. :)

halfords employee here :p

yep you want the standard fiesta facsia plate. There will be the peice of plastic as described, and then a black plastic clip, to screw into the back of your new cd player. As you insert it in look for a rail at the top of the whole in the dash(where the old cd player was), hook the black plastic clip in, and slide into place.

You'l also need removal keys if the old stereos in there. ;)

Thank does it make a difference if it is a radio/cassete rather than radio/cd player as mentioned it is quite a large facia and I want to put a mp3/radio player in its place as its is my wifes car and she hates the radio - used to have an mp3 player and cant do without one.

Thank you once again for your input
