370 bhp and rwd still an epic combo I'd imagine a quick flash map would see the 6 pot turbo north of 400 bhp by a fair amount too![]()
Not when the blowed V8 is kicking out north of 600!

the Mustang V6s are ****
No V8 = not a real mustang

better get some power power. Can't be having these muscle car posers rinsing me of the lights.

I guess the 335i isn't a proper 3 series because it doesn't have a V8 like the M3?

Nice English.
Damn ricermobiles.![]()
You realise that the V6 that is going into them now and will be in the 2015 model are vastly better than the V8 of a few years ago? Better economy, better power, better emissions etc. It'll lack the V8 burble that that is actually a minor point all things considered.
The old V6 matched up to a slushbox auto were bad, modern ones are not.
Not forgetting it'll be a comical 300bhp RWD coupe, what's not to love? The only issue I see is they might try and charge a massive premium which will make the car much less desirable as it isn't a premium car.

M5 isn't a proper M5 because it has a V8 and not a V10.
It *should* be a 600BHP comical RWD coupe.
300BHP in something that weighs 1.8-2 tonnes is not a lot...

Uhhh huuhhh.
Five years ago the V8 Mustang was how powerful? Oh yeah...300hp.![]()
Thanks for that.
Nothing wrong with the V6 engines, especially in this country.

Sorry but I think the essence of a Mustang is a V8. No V8 = no appeal for me.![]()

Well... if you're ok only getting the drags of Ford's offering... help yourself... it was designed to handle a much better engine... it would always feels so lacklustre & you'd always know what you were missing.

I agree, however, there have been many Mustangs in the past without a V8. This isn't anything new. But it is annoying that there isn't the at least the choice of a right hand V8 version.. that's the annoying thing. Unless of course you have a lot of money and buy the car and the engine and DIY![]()
No... the M3 and 3XX series are different cars.
In the same way that regular Mustangs are different from the 600BHP comical RWD coupes that you speak of. The standard 5.0 V8 is a touch over 400BHP.
If you want that kind of power you get a Shelby Mustang, which is the name of the high performance ones. Much in the same way that cars by the M division are high performance variants of normal BMWs.
You're just getting your wires crossed and stuck in the thought process that Mustangs are some exotic beast when they are just a mid size coupe?
That's simply not true.
3XX and M3 are completely different cars.
The Shelby and standard are almost identical.
