Ford Mustang is coming in Right Hand Drive...in 2015

I don't know why but I just can't get excited about the new mustang, now the 70's 'elenor' car is just stunning with all its odd lines and retro charm. I wouldn't mind one of them, that's for sure.

Elenor is based on a 60's fastback:) 64-68 were the true great Mustangs, I would take mine in bullitt trim please!

Ahh so its a 60's car and the gone in 60 seconds elenor was in the 73 film. You learn something new every day... Either way do want!

Still, the V8 is more suitable for the car itself. I loved my uncles, though it started rusting on the bonnet after just a year...
Assuming it's a s197 2005-2008 then that's not rust, it's a chemical reaction between the bonnet welds, paint, and metal. It's a known fault which Ford in the US will resolve, although no good for us who have imports. Mine had been fine until this year but now have the paint bubbles, although on the upside I think it's going to be an excuse for an appearance make over.

The Mustang is a Pony Car not a Muscle Car.

Y U SO DUM?!

I mean seriously, the stock V8 engine is 400hp, the stock V6 engine is 300hp. Stop quoting the modified engine figure! That figure relates to a car that costs an extra ~$28k and has a huge amount of work done to the engine and the car itself.
I'd say originally they started off as Pony cars (60s), weekend cruising around but once other manufactures started making more powerful cars then the mustang took on a more aggressive image and became a muscle car (late 60s, 70s models).

I don't know why I need to keep repeating myself - no enthusiast would ever buy a Mustang with a crappy V6 when there *should* be much better offerings available, like there are in the US.
The latest V6 variants are pretty impressive and like before it allows people to purchase on a smaller budget upfront. Then they can a) keep it that way as it suits them, or b) modify it, I know a few V6 mustangs that would put a lot of V8s to shame.

Yes there is the argument of why not buy a V8 upfront but not everyone has the cash.

IIRC originally the Mustang was Fords pony car and their muscle car was the Torino, the Torino didn't die until '76 so its unlikely the Mustang would have evolved into a muscle car before then.
