If I sit in darkness & pause on a black screen from a video then I did have a good chunk of orange glow in the top & bottom right. Adjusted the brightness & stuff in normal lighting conditions & checked again. General use under normal lighting I never notice it. If I go looking for it then yes its there A little in a dark room but not as bad as out of the box. If your a perfectionist I'm sure you wouldn't be happy with mine compared to the black level uniformity of a plasma. I don't think I would have even noticed it though had I not seen people going on about it here to be honest. Not something I would class as a fault.
I've also installed the bundled screen splitting software, looked good to me!
Did a remote desktop into my ancient pc at work I have to use & it used the giant native res no problem. I guess technically the gfx hardware isn't actually putting out an image as such in that scenario so it works. Will really improve my productivity when working from home. Can fit so many putty sessions, monitoring tools & reference material on screen at the same time!
