Forget Civ V! This is released the same day!!!!!

Does anyone know if this years version has included support for more shrubbery and vegetables? I was disappointed at the lack of the ability to plant chrysanthemums, lilies or beetroot in the last version, and this significantly impaired my experience of the game, resulting in a 4/5 rating. :(

Well I have heard the water features will only be coming later by DLC.

Well they are supposed to be sorting it out for this 2010 version, apparently it has been optimised for multi-core systems, so you may be in luck

Has nobody played that amazing game 'UK Truck Simulator'?

I am not kidding. You get in a truck and drive for five hours. Not allowed any funny stuff or you lose. :p

Downloading demo now.:D

I love crap simulators of boring things. Hunting sims are normally good. You can't beat spending 5 hours wandering around bland scenery looking for crappy enemies that don't fight back.

FLT simulator- epic cant wait. i hope they offer DLC for different marques of FLT pfft all that still love in the game we real FLT enthusiats want to see BT and jungeheinrich equipment added asap

Demolition Simulator - sounds much more fun :D

But yea I guess some of that stuff could help people to learn things like fork lift truck basics before going on a paid course to get a license?

I was looking at 'Police Simulator', actually looked quite good! But then I viewed the demo vid and was struck not by the iffy graphics (heavens, I still love Transport tycoon graphics), but by the fact it's all set in Britain with English accents and they drive ON THE RIGHT! Argh! Big no no for me :P

So.......how did you find it? :D

It took 3 hours to download 300mb.

It's not as bad as big rigs (ie it has some AI and collision detection), but it's pretty dire. I spent half a hour dragging a trailer from felixstowe to London (a distance that takes like 45-60 minutes in real life). The motorways didn't appear to be very accurate. The m25 didn't look like the m25, and certainly doesn't have enough traffic. The AI is pretty terrible, they undertake if you drive slowly (like you've got a choice) and crash into you if you change lane.

There's no damage model, so crashing your big truck into things doesn't make the game any more exciting. I guess the most exciting moment I had was either when I accidently turned on my windscreen wipers, or when I detatched my trailer which improved my top-speed from 45 to 55mph. I eventually gave up when I got my truck stuck on a crash barrier.

I suppose it kept me entertained for about 30 minutes whilst I was waiting for civ5 to unlock.

What i want to know is, why is this in german?

I thought to release in the EU they have to translate, and thats the reason we get releases from America late, so the frogs and sausages can get their fill.
