Forgotten adsl router user name and password...

hi there,

i need to access my adsl modem router control panel and i usually do this by loading up my internet browser and typing http://192.168.1.1

it then asks me for a username and password. For the life of me i cant remember what the hell the user and pass. Can anyone help me out, is there a way work around it?

the modem router is some old asus model that has been discontinued i think.

Have you tried default ones? Usually "admin" for both, or "admin" for usr and "password" for password...unless of course you changed them....lol

heh, i am an idiot and changed them both. anyway i just spent 10 minutes going through every combo of username and password that i have ever used and i got lucky ...
