formatting and partioning questions

hopefully this will be the last question i ask about the mac

recently i partioned the main drive setting up bootcamp, is there a way to un-partion the drive, as I won't be using bootcamp i much prefer to use VM now I have 100GB of partioned space going unused.

Also, what is the easiest way to format and restore OS X?

i managed to get the partition fixed, now how do I go about formatting the drive and reinstalling os x?
