The G-Wiz is electric, this is just a small SMART and will not get the same benefits as an electric vehicle, will it?The G-Wiz sold huge numbers worldwide, no reason why this won't either.
The real story here is not the car - Murray has invented a new manufacturing process which will make it more cost effective for companies to build cars like this.
At the moment, he argues, it is hard to make a profit on these kinds of compact, low cost cars, because of the way auto manufacturing is set up. He claims to have solved that problem. The car in this story is really just his proof of concept.
Except that I don't think that the T.25 is actually being sold and nor is it a McLaren - other than that, yes, I agree entirelyI'm sure this car has been designed to be sold as a McLaren to enable them as a car manufacturer to average out it's products efficiency. I believe EU rules state that car manufacturers have to achieve an average mpg across it's range. Hence you'll see a variety of Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin baby cars that have quite low fuel consumption figures.
