The best racing sim yet? I have played nigh on every racing sim that there's been and the original Forza Motorsport was probably the best of them. Wiped the floor with GT3 - it's competitor at the time.

With all the features promised in FMS2, and the shell of the game which existed in FMS, you can't help but get excited if you're a racing sim fan. Not long to go now.

This game will blow away any other racing game, GT Series take a bow to the true money pit that is Forza tech.

That's what I think too. It can't come soon enough for me, I can tell you that :)

Has anyone else been playing the first again?

I have, but I'm finding it stuttering on the 360 (like 15fps). Got a thread on the site below about it trying to glean some more information. Love the game, but can't play it if it's stuttery.

When I saw the recent vid and the guy was on about the air field track and the gasp in the concrete I creamed if they are going into that much detail into just concrete.

Yeah it doesn't run very well does it.

I found it ran better through vga at 640*480(4:3).

The sound is messed up with some cars too.Still a great racing game and i can't wait to unlock the Carrera GT.

I'm a little unsure on Forza 2. I found the original insanely boring at times. I don't know why. Maybe it was the tracks. It never grabbed me and made me keep playing like PGR2, or any of the Gran Turismos did.

I'm willing to give it a go though. PGR3, though good is very small in comparisson to it's predecessor, so i'm looking out for the next decent racer.

I think its hard to make a game like this exciting.Online racing is where its at so unlocking the cars can seem a bit of a bore.

I'm cursung the game every time i enter a championship that has the test track on.I hate that track.

Yeah Forza kind of bored me as well, and again not sure why, looking forward to Forza 2 though.

Did you play it with the racing line assist on? I did that and I found it a bit pedestrian at times as well. It was soooo difficult without using it though.

That's probably because Forza's sense of speed is so poor that you think you're going plenty slow enough to take the corner easily when in fact you're doing 100, it just looks like 30 :p Forza 2 should be better in that respect, but unless the track list has improved from what I read recently, it will be just the same boring circuits as Forza, with none of the more varied street and rally tracks from Gran Turismo.

I always felt that GT had more of a kind of sense of occasion when playing it, and the whole thing was so polished. GT also looked more real compared to Forza's cartoony look, and judging by screenshots Forza 2 is no better. It seems to be a warmed-over re-release of Forza, just with a higher framerate and higher resolution. We'll see - I hope I'm wrong.

Tracks have various formations some upto 4 varations of route. Besides more tracks will be coming via DLC, it was a studio decision to release for May.

With regards one looking more cartoony im not so sure. Just goto you tube and compare the many vids which show both playing via split screen. Looks like the Xbox version had better backgrounds etc while GT had better car models.

I'll definately be getting it but I'm a little spoiled by Live for Speed, I don't know if Forza 2 will be able to match the driving experience but I hope so.
