Found my cat but not good news :(

One of our cats eats spiders and any insect he finds. Its great we just show him a spider in the flat and he gobbles it up

One of ours is the same, loves eating those huge moths too

It's funny how their appetities vary. We have two cats, one loves to eat mice, whereas the other loves to eat birds. It's like they have some pact between them to share.

I don't like finding beaks outside the back door though. Always half a head with the beak, I guess she doesn't like eating that bit.

My condolences GothicGhost. I have three moggies and I'm incredibly attached to them...

Regarding the "indoor / outdoor" issue; at my old place I lived next to a football field / community centre where all the local chavvy teens would congregate. I didn't feel comfortable letting my cats out, so the two I had then became indoor cats by default.

My current place is in a much more quiet and friendly location, so I'm a lot more comfortable letting them out. They mostly stick to the garden, but they love to play around and chase each other. They generally seem to be happier going out, and they're a lot more affectionate when they come in. Only one of them seems capable of hunting though - I often see her with dead rodents dangling from her mouth when I let her out at night. She's also the one that defends the garden from the mass of other neighbourhood cats that surround us!

And as for spiders etc - all three of mine will attack and (if possible) catch / eat any kind of insect that they can, spiders included. Moths seem to be a favourite, though they rarely manage to catch them.

Gave me a smile :)

I know it's better to find out what has happened to lost pet as after just one night was bad not knowing.

Here's a picture of the little fella I took this morning, wearing his tracker on his collar...:)

Sorry to hear that mate, it's horrible losing animals, lost my two rats in the space of about a month and it all seems very quiet now so I can empathise.

All the best.
