Foundation - TV Series (2021)

Just caught up, that garden scene was absolutely brutal absolutely chilling.

Stunning performance and story.

Yeah nothing like the books but it's it own story I enjoyed the books many years ago so it's a nice spin on them.

I enjoyed the series overall. The whole thing has hung on the Cleons plotline. The Foundation and Gayal and Harding plotlines have been a mixed bag. Far too many conveniences in the writing which breaks immersion.

yeah on reflection there are a few good scenes. Nothing to do with the actual foundation story, but he really portrays the character in a scary way.

I would have jumped and smashed my head on that bench quicker you could blink or at least tried to top myself before they got a chance to incarcerate me like that, note for the future :)

Haven't you learned from every film, TV show, book you've ever read. "Never get caught". You might have to go and watch "The Recruit" again. :p

I dunno what everyone's problem was with it. Did they read the books and it's a let down. I dunno.
I enjoyed it and was gutted to see that it was only 10episodes.

I agree, sometimes a re-write for TV is bad, Script, Cast, production and money to put into it and it deserves to be trashed, this is not one of those shows, Same as the expanse so many episodes of that show were only better than Trek discovery and nothing like the book yet it comes out smelling of roses.

Really looking forward to season 2 for this a solid 9/10 for me.

Was ok I thought, not as good as I hoped it would be though. The usual problems that plague modern TV adaptions mostly apply here. But for all that, it kept me watching and I'll probably watch season 2.

Is this with a months subscription to Appple TV to binge watch it? Thanks.
Having known nothing of the books I found it quite interesting, if a little bit slow at times but what TV Sci-Fi show isn't?

Worth subbing to Apple TV for Ted Lasso, For All Mankind, The Morning Show (Not seen but heard good things) and Long Way Up. New movie CODA is supposed to be very good too.

"For All Mankind" is a far better reason to sub Apple+ than Foundation. So time it around that. I've not read the Foundation books so went in with a clean slate and whilst it's well made and there are pockets of excellence but some of the plot lines have shonky writing, which don't ruin it but make you roll your eyes now and again. "For All Mankind" is pretty good throughout though, you bond with the characters far, more well worth a watch. I'll probably re-sub for a onth to watch Season 3.
