Fox, 135i advice

First round of mods completed :) I had the m-sport wheel with alacantara trim, performance shifter and the perforated leather handbrake done. Next up are the pedals and an Eisenmann exhaust.

For those of us in the UK I just found that Broadspeed.com will deliver, to your door, a brand new 11 plate 135i M Sport on 1st March 2011 for £27k

Wow. Is there a reason they're this cheap now?

Might be that the 1 series is getting on a bit and due for replacement soon?

No idea what the standard equipment is like but I bet once you start adding a few options a decent spec 135i is still gonna cost too much to make it worthwhile considering a new one - especially as M Sport 335i's are dipping below £20k now.

The same level of discount is available on an F10 5 Series.

You don't get any fresher than that.

The 1 Series Coupe is not due for replacement - on the contrary it is early next year receiving it's mid-life facelift.

Getting on a bit? The new coupe was only produced 2008 onwards.

Was just a guess ;)

I nearly ordered a car from Broadspeed and they do seem to offer good deals if you have cash and really want new.

IIRC you could get good money off a Civic Type R before they stopped making them.

Assumed the Coupe came out only a year or so after the hatchback, no idea it was so much later.

All they do is arrange deals for you with dealers. Nothing you couldnt probably acheive yourself...

I've always read people having massive problems getting dealers to get close to these in person. People even go in with a print off and say this is what I'm getting it for online, match it and the deal is yours and being told to go away.

Only time I'd imagine you getting a better deal doing it youself in a dealer is with some sort of special car or a really good offer/promotion.

All they are doing is putting you in touch with the dealer. You buy the car from the dealer - all they get is a £99 fee for the work. They are not buying any cars.
