Foxes and how to get rid of them?

The noise they make at night is more than enough to justify trying to re-locate them.

Hire some humane traps maybe? Then drop them all off together in some woods away from anyone and everyone? Won't be cheap though.

Really? Yes let the fox starve to death.....

The fox in question is used to scavenging from bins/humans, You do not think that dropping it off in a completely new environment is going to effect it?

Another clueless do-gooder. Better to have it put down than let it die of starvation.

They're wild animals. Not domesticated dogs. They're supposed to scavenge and will do regardless of environment. Why make someone else but up with there noise and mess? But yes. Shoot them instead of giving them a chance to survive on there own.

EDIT: Ok, RSPCA don't recommend relocating foxes.

Some people suggest that the answer is to relocate or destroy foxes. However, this will simply encourage foxes from other areas to move in and take their place. Moving foxes from one area to another is not appropriate or considered humane – foxes moved to another area are unlikely to survive long and may spread diseases.

Best to give someone who knows a call for options.

With my £5 BB Gun? Which is rubbish?

If you live local to a farmer ask him if he is willing ( or maybe he knows someone that shoots on his land) to take care of them?

I really don't see what the fuss is about?

At least I did some, I provided a humane result to OP's question, Just like he asked. All you've done speak utter rubbish and add nothing to the thread. Please go if you have nothing constructive to add! Didn't your parents teach you to keep quiet if you had nothing important to say?

I'm sorry where is this utter rubbish i posted? I made a point that your original advice was bull and moving a fox to a new region would lead to the fox dieing of starvation.

Pretty much what you went away and read on the RSPCA website which was contradictory to your original suggestion.

lolwhut?!

?

Remove/protect food source (don't give them a reason to enter your garden.
Secure your garden.

Alternatively, use a BB gun as a deterrent. It won't kill, but will hurt and they'll learn. Also, it'll be fun!

Target practise ;)
NEED TO BUY FULLY AUTOMATIC M16 for £20!

If they are visiting your garden then there is something attracted them, find it, get rid of it and problem solved.
No need to get all GI Joe on them.

That's not at all what I read. Quite the opposite in fact.

Red foxes are adaptable animals that live in many different environments across the world from the Arctic tundra to the deserts of North Africa. Foxes are truly omnivorous, without specialized food requirements,
There are many food sources available to foxes in towns. They are not dependent on food from dustbins,

How does any of the above indicate a fox would die of starvation if relocated. I can't find anything to back up your claim. Please. Prove me wrong.
