Myself and others only received overclocks of 4.4GHz with their Titans. Has Overclockers now taken steps to ensure that all CPUs obtain the promised 4.6GHz, or are Overclockers still delivering CPUs at overclocks not as advertised? I hope I don't come across as churlish, it's just that I believe Overclockers should either deliver on their promises or advertise the overclocks at the minimum figure they can actually guarantee.

Still a great system.

When our Titan Sandybridge systems were launched they were OC'ed at 4.40GHz, later systems were updated to a 4.60GHz overclock.

No mate,

They were claiming in stock configuration IE with a 430 it runs everything thrown at it.

You are having a laugh with that stock graphics card claiming its a true gamers sytem.

The GT430 is a joke at resolutions very few people run anymore let alone 1650 or above.

Fair enough if someone pays to upgrade but the 430 is pretty paltry and certainly with the system "in its current form" is NOT going to eat everything you've thrown at it.

The point, you have missed it.

The Spinosaur sets a good base gaming system with a choice of graphics cards to make it an excellent gaming system.

Nath and RJK,

Thanks for the response. I bought the Titan when it was offered here:

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18235391&highlight=titan+spinosaur

It was definitely advertised as 4.6GHz. Still, I'm happy that others are now getting this. Now all I need is to get my SSD and monitor, then I'll be able to finally switch the beast on and put it to work.

Cheers

Hi Flyer, please post this in the customer support section so can deal with your issue.

Nothing to base my opinion on? Don't make statements you can't prove dude, I know just how bad these cards are for anything other than modest old games. I've just put one in a htpc and tried a few games for a giggle. They are not very capable

Your line where you state "even with the 460/6850 cards" - the 460 is far more capable than the 430 is..... Returning 112fps average, 88 minimum compared to 40 average and 35 minimum of the 430. The gtx 460 is leagues ahead of the 430 and not a great deal more expensive.

Of course the system is going to be very capable with the cpu and memory, just IMO that graphics card is pap for such a decent setup, its like buying a golf and getting the 1.2 12v engine from a polo put into it.

The rest of the spec is awesome and its not a bad price, but the gpu is naff and you can't seriously tell me it performs well at 1280x1024 when all the review sites say its pap.

I have a 1.2 Polo!

How hard would it be for a total beginner to get this thing up and running? I heard I would have to install a graphics card. Is this difficult?

Hi there,

The only GFX cards that you will have to install yoursewlf are anything GTX 460 size or above.

All systems come with comprehensive instructions to assist you on how to install.

All systems are tested with the included GFX card prior to being shipped out to ensure maximum compatibility and stability.

Literally plug and play :)
