FREE BitFenix Spectre Fans - Big Silence Test

I have a dreadfully annoying 3 speed 80mm fan that has a manual switch that i can't even access since its in the case itself. I also have one 120mm fan at the front and 2 140mm spaces on the side that i have never filled up.

They are noisy as hell! Sometimes i think aliens are landing on my house with the amount of noise it makes...

So I need the Quietest ones really. Im not bothered, my temps are just fine with my two fans. I just need someone to hit me up with their magical goodness.

So basically,

1x80mm
1x120mm
2x140mm

Im not too bothered about colour. Going for the Blue led look if they are going, but any fans will do me!

Good luck lads!

Hi,

Thanks for the opportunity! Always thought it was cool that you give people items to test out!

I am currently using 1 120mm Cooler Master fan, that came with my case and I do fancy a change :D

QTY - Size - Colour
1 - 120mm - White LED

Thanks.

I am using the stock fans that came with my Lancool K62 so dont know how they compare with anything really :D.

They are :-
(Front) Blue LED140mm Ball-Bearing Fan x 1(1000RPM)
(Top) Blue LED140mm Ball-Bearing Fan x2 (1000RPM)
(Rear) 120mm Ball-Bearing Fan x 1 (1500RPM)

So ill be looking for :-
3x White LED 140mm
1x White LED 120mm

Thanks for another give away kul1! :) Always nice to see these threads :D

I presume that it is the normal spectre fans, not the spectre pros?

I currently have 3x120mm with red LEDs in a Sharkoon T9 Gaming Tower Case - Black/Red. Its pretty quiet now but i have never used high end fans/cooling equipment so it would be an interesting to see how much of an improvement it will/might be.

I've got a Lancool K62, and a Corsair A70

I've completely changed out all the case fans, but haven't changed the fans on the A70.

I've therefore got:
Front: Xigmatek CLF-F1455 (140mm Fans)
Top: Xigmatek CLF-F1455 x2 (140mm Fans)
Rear: Enermax T.B. Silence x1 (120mm Fan)
CPU cooler: Corsair A70: 2x120mm Fans - not sure on model code.

I'd therefore like:
3 x 120mm Black, Non-LED
3 x 140mm Black, White-LED.

Could really do with these! For a start I'll be sure to test heat that these things can exhaust, as I've got a GTX 480 that hits 93 Degrees under load.

Currently at idle my systems at 56 db. At load it hits 68db

So yeah, could do with some fans that are designed for silence :)

For anyone else who might be considering the non-led ones, because they want to be able to turn off the LED's, have a look at the BitFenix Hydra :)

Using 4 (2x 120mm and 2x 140mm) Apache fans in my case atm, 2 are on my CPU cooler, 1 Intake and 1 Exhaust. Would be nice to see how much of a difference Spectre can do for my CPU as my CPU does get quite warm. Black with White LED would be awesome, thanks.

<3 Bitfenix and there activity on these forums.

Would love to remove my super noisy stock fans and see what silence really is!

5x 120mm White LED :D
or
4x 120mm White LED
1x 140mm White LED

At the moment i have
120mm front intake (1400rpm Stupidly noisy) (Stock) ( Can be done to a 140 though if second option used )
120mm Rear Exhaust (Same and Noisy) (Stock)
2x 120mm Roof exhaust (Not so bad but poor airflow) (Gelid silent 12's)
1x 120mm Bottom intake (So slow i should remove it) (Fractal Design 120)

I have just ordered 3 Thermalright TY-140 FAN 140mm 900-1300rpm (140mm fans that fit 120mm holes) and have Akasa super silent ambers fans which i feel are very good.

If you have any fans that are similar to the Thermalright TY-140 FAN 140mm, as in 140m in size but fit 120m slots, then i could do some good comparisons.

I have a Antec 620 cooler on way and am looking for the best performance/noise fan to keep the water-cooler quite and cool within my Akasa Eclipse-62

3x 140mm fans if they fit 120mm slots

Otherwise 2x120mm fans + 1 140mm fan as i can fit in on the Antec cooler via elastic bands lol

Current usage of fans are:

Case 3x120mm fans, cpu cooler 2x120mm

just to clarify... this "event" is for our Spectre and NOT Spectre Pro Fans... Sorry for not being clear enough :)

Thanks already to all "applicants" so far.

Got 1x Red Painted 120mm Fan,
1x 120mm Blue LED Fan
I would like 1x 120mm Red LED Fan
And my fans run my system very very cool, and quiet, I really want to see if anything beats it !

Would love to swap out these Scythe Kaze 1800RPM ones . I have the following:

4 x Akasa Apache 120mm
3x Scythe Kaze 1800rpm 120mm
1x140mm Cooler master (came with case)

If I did win, I'd probably go:

7 x Spectre Black - 120mm
1 x Spectre Black - 140mm

Currently using my Silverstone Air Penetrator 120mm fans that are on the bottom of my case, also I'm using Alpenföhn 120mm Wing Boost Shamrock fan's on the front and back of my Silverstone Raven 03.

5 x 120mm Any L.E.D colour will do.

Not fused about colours, I just like flashy fans :P

Currently using a sythe 120mm karma and 120mm noctua, it's for the bedroom so any quieter components are appreciated (it even uses a notebook HDD) would be looking for a pair of nonlit or blue if not possible fans.

I would love to try out some Spectre Fans in my rig! Need to accompany my sexy BitFenix cables

I currently have 3 x Xigmatek Orange LED fans and they are incredible loud and move the same amount of air as a wet fart.

I would love to have 4 x BitFenix Spectre Orange LED 120mm Fan's to try out. 2 for my case fans and one for my Corsair H60!
