Free JPEG repair program?

Does such a thing exist for OSX? My girlfriends camera corrupts some photos it takes and I was hoping there is something out there that can repair them (as much as they can be repaired) for free?

Found a free program called JPEG Snoop which seemed to recover the files (although I am not sure I have used the "advanced" features)....obviously the quality isn't that of a full quality picture but it did work.

buying a new card for next time would be easier and quicker.

Not sure its the card...have tried new cards, think its the camera....and she'd have to earn one of those
