Free Speedcamera database?

I got my PDA working again with TomTom3 but I've noticed that the once free uk speed camera database is now charging. Is there another site where I can get a POI database so Mr PDA can warn me of cameras?

Tis ok, I found an old database hidden deep inside my PC. Still, why did the site start charging, seems a bit cheeky for a site started because the government steal money from motorists.......

Its hardly a large sum of money is it. They have costs to meet running the website.

Yeah I have purchased it and now it gets updated regularly and with more reliable data!

I paid up for a year with pocketgpsworld. At £20 for a year of regular updates it isn't really that expensive. I don't think you can expect anything like that for free, or not one that is updated regularly.

Exactly. Think how dumb you'd feel if you got caught by a new camera because you hadn't laid out either £19 for the year, or £2 per download, to get the latest copy?

I'm all for getting things for free, but jesus, a little perspective eh?
