Friend's car stolen from a car wash

I know the place and wouldn't leave my car there. Yes they are a known company but god knows who they employ. One of the guys could have easily made the story up and handed over the keys to one of his mates.

So you wouldn't trust the big set ups in a tesco car park either, that is full of immigrants?

Not that i'd leave gear in the car but I wouldn't expect my car to get stolen.

No I'm referring to the more..dodgy looking places. Which I find are great, actually, as long as you don't leave it with them.

Just saying, I've heard the same story about Polish or Romanian car-wash schemes too many times, locally, nevermind nationally.

You can shout STUPID AND CROOKED IMMIGRANTS all you want, I would also like to point out that the native population of Britain can also be as crooked and incompetent as Johnny Foreigner. It is possible that they weren't sure who the car was dropped off by and the person that took the keys went off to the local offie for a can of Tyskie and some smokes. Two sides to every story, one fatal error = handing over keys to a bunch of idiots.

I'm surprised they don't have a ticket system, they are quite an established business here in MK. Last time I used one of their places I stayed with my car.

I suspect the OP's friend gave someone else the ticket, they've handed the car over and it's now gone 'missing'. OcUK detective conclusion = it's dodgy.

I swear to God this isn't an insurance job. Yes he was dumb to leave as much stuff in the car as he did - not arguing that point.

However while the workers are most likely illegal immigrants, the car wash is well known in Milton Keynes and they have 4 branches. It's a purpose built site, not just 2 ****** and a bucket with a hole in it.

And, someone still managed to walk up and try it on saying it was his car.

It couldn't of been that easy, do they not have a ticket system or check in system.
