Friends Tyres

nowadays even Astra's come with 19" optional wheels even for the common diesel engines, it is shocking.

Whoever is fitting linglongs is indeed an idiot but I can't help but notice the OcUK instant dismissal to anything that isn't continental/pirelli/michelin.

There are also decent tyres out there such as the Falken FK452, Toyo Proxes CF1, Kumho KU39, etc- all of which perform decently but cost a lot less than the equivalent premium tyres - yet they are thrown in the same category as linglongs.

no there not but the tyres the op is talking about are worse and cheaper than linglongs

I personally think tyres should be subject to much tighter regulation.

My opinion is, tyres should be a no expense spared item on your car, even cheap discs and pads will lock a cars wheels or activate ABS, high quality tyres are the most important part of your cars braking system. People who use the excuse that they don't push their cars to the limit fail to grasp the basics of friction or the physics of braking in general.
