How many people on here use fuel cards for work or have to organise fuel cards?

I've got to have a look at fuel cards for my work and just wondered what are goods ones or ones to avoid?

Any help would be really appreciated!! :D

I have the option of a fuel card that cover both business and private milage. I have opted out due to the amount of tax and instead claim 16p per mile as I am better off.

I have a fuel card, not much help to you though as it's a local company only.

No restrictions though, I use it, they take my registration and off I go :D

My fuel car is ARVAL. I clocked 4500 business miles and 2800 private miles on my card, and received a tax rebate for £212 a few days ago.

Arval are the best, MSM, what do you mean by clocked the miles on your card, how do arval know what's business and what isn't??

Also, avoid these places that fix your price, we had one, they started cheap and then began increasing to over what any local pump was offering saying that the wholesale price of diesel has increased and that pumps will show that in a week or so,,,, it never did, I guess they count on you having sent out cards to drivers and then no being bothered to change.

Go with the ones that charge pump price.

What I meant is that I did those miles. Arval don't know the difference in what is personal and business, but I keep a record of business miles and total mileage which I submit for tax at the end of the year.

Used fuelcard people for a couple of years now granted we only have 2 cards and 2 motors but their consistently a penny or 2 under pump price for us which when your chewing through a thousand litres or more a month soon starts to add up

Also saves us having to worry about any of the. Paperwork etc as there's Is all available online
