Hello,

I need some help deciding on which of these cameras to go for. I've searched on the net/forums for the past 3 days and both these are highly recommended, but picking one is difficult.

Which one would you go for?

Mostly I will be using to take photos of my baby and general house stuff like parties and get togethers.

Thanks.

I bought an ixus 60 a few weeks ago for general use and i'm really happy with it, i'm not a very good photographer but most of my point and shoot stuff comes out quite good.

:)

I'm also torn between these two (was liking the S5600 but the sods at the store list it as sold out ALL OVER THE UK) so I'm looking for advice.

The F30 and F20 take excellent photos in the dark (as listed everywhere), but that seems to be their main advantage, a lot of the complaints refer to high light conditions and bleeding. The Ixus doesn't get these comlpaints. I DO love night shots but i'm worried that the day shots on an F20/30 will be a bit poo.

A little noobyness here, but I also want to do long-exposure shots, will they both be adequate? I'm a beginner and proud, I want a cam which can teach me but which I can use for a while. Going on hols for new year and would like something good for that.

Many thanks :)

Pleeeease, I'm desperate!
All I want to know is if you're disregarding ability to shoot excellently in the dark, does the F30 still beat the Ixus 60?

after a few more days of reading, I decided on a Sony DSC H5. Its not a compact camera like the F30 or Ixus 60, but thinking about it I didnt really need a compact because it will only be mostly used at home. Cost me £240 inc 2gig memory card.

Thanks and have a Merry Christmas all :)
