Full body workout (splits) from home with minimal kit

Ah right, so the person talking about toning and situps is not the one that needs educating.

I'll let someone else explain it to you.

Been training on and off since 1989 so no explanation required, but feel free to ask for any advice.
Read before you post where have I said fullbody is for toning?I was dismissing toning but your so intent on trolling anything I post you failed to read and comprehend what I had posted. Situps whats your problem? crunch or situp same deal.

sldl = legs? not each muscle group. looks full body to me
SLDL does not work the legs fully. It's a little strange to suggest it on it's own.
He's impressive, and I particularly like the bit where he works his legs.

Oh wait ;)

No, don't do both.

You will do well to research modern approaches to core training.

Doing something for a long time is worth very little if the only thing that's happened is that you've become more condescending.

If you have dumbbells or even just some plates you can still squat, hell just get someone else to sit on your shoulders. :)

obviously not both on same workout same as sldl alternate with different exercise

hanging leg raise,db squal, lunge, front or hack squat, step ups the list is endless. I co not suggesting you do the samething all the time but to swap around using one movement for each area I do to tricep and bi's as I like the pump I get but its pretty basic just use compound lifts as the base of the routine.

In theory there is nothing wrong with doing two core exercises every day. My point was more that those are two of the most outmoded, ineffective and potentially injury inducing exercise choices.

I don't disagree with your suggestion of full body though.

SLDLs are great, but you'd need balance in your routine.

There are many better core exercises than crunches or sit ups. I'm sure you are fine, but I also suspect that your choice of exercises hasn't been driven by seeking optimum performance.

I have a basic home gym, consists off:

200kg in various plates (0.5kg to 20kg)
Barbell
Ez Curl Barbell
Dumbbells
Bench

Very capable of doing most exercises. Only thing I cannot do is a proper squat because I don't have a power rack but I basically do dumbbell squats instead which are almost as effective to be honest.

Full body routine I do is:

Dumbbell Squats
Barbell Deadlifts
Dumbbell Incline & Flat Bench Press
Barbell Bent Over Row
Barbell Calf Raises
Barbell Military Press
Barbell Bicep Curl

Optional:

Barbell Shrugs
Barbell Pullovers

Works well for me. My strength has gone up even though I've lost 14 pounds of fat in the past 10 weeks.

Only equipment I might buy in the future is a power rack/station where I can do squats, pull ups and dips.

That entirely depends on how you're doing them, and even then, there is no real substitute for squatting :)
that's not my routine just some exercise suggestions
That comment was based on you saying that you've been doing them for years...

my current routine is something like

a
incline db bench
db shoulder press
one arm row
sldl
seated calf raise
db tricep extension
barbell curls
hanging leg raise

b

military press
flat db press
wide pull ups or pedlay rows
clean into front squats
skullcrushers
seated hammer curls
situps on bench

that's the core might drop in pullovers, sissy squats, reverse flyes etc if bored

I do this 2 or3 a week seems to work well ;-)
