Full MP F.E.A.R. To Be Released For Free - OUT NOW!

VU Games sent out a press release announcing that it will release the entire multiplayer component of the Monolith developed 2005 first person shooter F.E.A.R. as a free download on Thursday, Aug. 17. The free game, called F.E.A.R. Combat, will have 19 multiplayer maps, 10 gameplay modes, 12 weapons, Punkbuster support and the ability to use user created mods. Users will have to obtain a free keycode from the www.joinfear.com website to be able to play F.E.A.R. Combat. (thanks XXXX)

Haha this is well mint, I sold my copy after the first patch came out because half the population that had the game were unable to play it due to the dodgy patch. Since it got pb and a few more patches is seems pretty neat i'll bet melee is still annoying tho.

Going to get this just because it's a good LAN game that I can have on my PC.

are we going to need the same sort of spec that the full game needs, im running athlon 2400 + 512ram and ati 9000 128mb (lol i know its bad) but its a media centre

might have ingame adverts, im sure the original had one or 2 in it, dont quote me on that though. i faintly remember something being said about in the offices in the game

They're planning ahead maybe

Just reminds me a little of Wolfenstein ET. Now there is going to be a sort of sequel that's going to be a full price release.

Whats the catch

Its not even a year old is it, this is one of the few games which conroe ups the fps on so maybe Intel gave them a wad.

da_mic, I think its needs more main ram then that otherwise you might have been ok on low.
