Need to build a new PC (Full tower), mainly for Video editing nd general home use. Current PC is about 7 years ols with some recent upgrades. Not into Games so do not need a game spec. Also, to keep it simple, do not want to go water cooling route. Budget around £1,500

Current system is :

Cosmos 1000 full towe
i5-3570K Processor
16gb DDR3 ram
8tb HDDs
256gb SSD

What program(s) do you use for video editing ?

Not decided but possibly Adobe Premiere elements

Have a look into Davinci Resolve, firstly it's free or cheaper, socially it's been coded to take advantage of recent hardware.
Adone preferred intel due single core speed mainly for most of their programs and Prem is the same , though can handle more threads still CPU speed bound.
Resolve uses CPU threads and GPU .
Being the cost of intel, going with ryzen can get more for your money !

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,355.01 (includes shipping: £11.10)

2070 pulls ahead of 1080ti in Resolve . Card comes with a 4 year warranty . 8 core 16 thread ryzen mates Intel pretty much which is great value for half the price !

Keeping your current case and drives, but new PSU with 7 year warranty and Tier 1 quality

Interesting... I only have usb 2 ports on top of the current case. USB 3 ports are at the back and are a logical issue with the tower on the floor.

Much easier to work with and good cable management. Have used midi and mini cases before but preference is a full tower. I have the space and do not mind a few bucks extra on it.
