This is odd, my furmark score is about 3602 with windows 7 and 4gb ram, and was 5467 in XP with 3gb ram. Maximum framerate is about 60, whereas it was about 100 in XP. Any ideas? I tested this with cat 9.12 and 9.10 and am currently still with 9.12. Also, in ati overdrive while furmark is running stability or benchmark, it's not even going to 99% activity, it keeps fluctuating between 97% and quite a bit lower. In XP it always stayed at 99%.
My ram sticks run adjacent to each other as opposed to alternating slots, that's the way my motherboard works. So slots 1 and 2, or 3 and 4. Could the fact that I moved both sticks of ram to my 3rd and 4th slot instead of my 1st and 2nd slot make a difference in performance?
My crysis gpu benchmark seems about the same though.
edit: Panic over, it was bloody vsync. My score is now 6419, max frames 159, avg 107.
