i see the version below this board "Gigabyte Z68AP-D3" has x2 SATA 6GB/s instead of the Z68XP having x4 SATA.

This again cheaper, is this the only difference in the board???

There maybe some other little difference, there is no mSATA connector on the PCB like the £100 board.

Also it only supports crossfire(no SLI) at 16X/4X, if you only want a single nvidia card then this isn't a problem.

Theres also one big plus point concerning Ivybridge and PCI-E3.0, bare with me


The fact it has all 16X lanes from the CPU socket going to the top slot without any PCI-E switches means when a Ivybridge CPU is fitted it gets a full 16X PCI-E gen3.0 to the top slot.

The second slot always gets 4X if theres a card in its slot or not.

also ive found a case, and i think it looks emense.

its the NZXT Guardian 921, google it, Looks top notch.
Just need to know will the board fit this case ok?
