G N F'n R

got some videos of their stuff when they had buckethead after slash - now thats some good stuff to watch!

axl sounded totally haggard in 2002 when they performed, sounds like he cant catch his breath at all!

seeing them later in the year at download, hoping they'll sound alright! really wish they still had buckethead though as i'd love to see him live if nothing else!

obviously ive listened to all their old stuff (fishes out CD's)

My favourite band ever and they got me into music in the first place.

Apparently the Chinese Democracy album had some very good stuff on it when they sampled it on a US metal radio station (knac.com) last year, but it still isn't out due to whatever problems.

IMHO they aren't G'n'R any more, just the Axl Rose roadshow w/special guests.. it's a shame 'cause I'd have bene really interested in hearing the new album but it's just not them.. a recent guitar magazine ran an article on the development of Chinese Democracy, over a decade and $13m to make and it's still not finished

One of my favourite bands ever  probably along with queen the 2 acts i'd have loved to see live but never will (the proper GnR & Queen not the half acts that are going around now)

Might whack appetite for destruction on in a minute an absolute classic Welcome to the jungle, Nightrain, Mr Brownstone, Sweet child, Paradise city, rocket queen all classics.

Any GNR fans looking for the same music that Matt, Slash, Gilby and Duff brought before will be sadly disappointed. Buckethead is amazing, but the rest of the outfit is nothing to write home about. Axl has also forgot how to sing, and Chinese Democracy has been talked about for more than 8 years. The only way anyone can listen to it (since the album is still in 'production') can hear the new stuff in any recent live gigs they've done.

I thought one song was pretty good, but when they play the old GNR stuff they are crap.

love them laods, but when slash left, as far as i was concerned, they were no more. someone needs to stop axl.

However, buckethead is a wicked player, albeit a little on the strange side. his solo stuff its pretty good as he got Les Claypool on bass, so that makes it funky. check youtube out for some buckethead vids esp with the nunchucks :D and robot dancing.

My ex loves them - hence I detest them. She more or less left me due to the fact that she found a guy that liked them more than me. GREAT.

If you asked me about 4 6 weeks ago I'd say yeah they're great though :p

sucks when that happens doesnt it! i find it hard to listen to nightwish or dragonforce now due to an ex!

seen them live a few times way back with the origonal line up. This new album is thought of like the second coming of christ but i think it will be average at best. the most interesting news ive heard is axl will do some shows with izzy stradlin even though they both state he isnt back in the band i dunno, also rumours of slash and axle talking things out...who knows in this period when many bands are reforming.

/me hopes for Stone temple pilots

Never been a fan.
AFD is a classic album with no duff tracks but doesn't hit the spot for me.
The successive albums didn't do anything either for me but there was several good tracks on Spaghetti Incident (Nazareths Hair Of The Dog).
I have two live DVDs called Use Your Illusion 1 & 2 and they are unwatchable because Axl's voice is awful. The band is on fire though.

I argree with you. I don't think they are Guns N Rose any more. I won't be buying the new alblum if it ever comes out.

I went to the Docklands show in 2002, was absolutely fantastic.

Axl's voice sounded great and the MTV performance a few months later was not a fair reflection at all so don't judge him on that.

I've heard all the new tracks that have been put out so far 'The Blues' was the only one I consider decent.

Obviously keen to hear the new album if it ever surfaces but it's higly unlikely to be as good as the old ones so I won't get too excited about it.
