How the hell do i get my seagate sata hardrive to run in Sata 2 mode!
At the moment is it running in UDMA 5 mode and when i test the benchmark in HD tune.It is all over the place.It peaks at around 90mb,but then the next second it's down to 1.6mb and then stays low most of the time.Sometimes it will jump back up to 90mb
Now if i put the same hardrive in my HTPC,it says UDMA 6.And the benchmark test in hdtune is great.Most of the time it's in the high 80mb range
Also my sata dvd writers seem to be running in pio mode too.If i try to rip a dvd to the hardrive the max i can get is 2.7x.Normally it would go up to 15x
I am running XP.I have tried everything in the bios,but i'm stumped!.Can anyone please give the proper setup details so i can get everything working correctly,thanks
