Does the installation of a waterblock (XSPC Delta) or any waterblock for that matter require removing any backplates or things from the above motherboard before they can be installed ? or is it just matter of popping it into place with the 4 screw holes and screwing the sucker into place ?

MIPS and Alphacool make water-blocks that fix down with push-pins like the stock Intel cooler. Neither are especially good, though.

Ahh kk, so no modifications needed to the motherboard atleast, with my current skt 939 system I had to remove the CPU bracket thing before I could mount the waterblock.

If nothing needs to be changed for the DS3P then its just a matter of popping the waterblock on and bolting it to the motherboard with the 4 spring type screw thingies I got. (thats the technical term for em :P)

The DS3P doesn't have anything behind the CPU socket to worry about.

Only the northbridge does and you can screw a block onto it without having to remove it.
