GA-P35-DS3R memory slots 1+2 not working

Hello. Well Iv been having a bit of a hard time with my setup lately. First it just shut down and would not post, at first I thought it was a PSU problem but after trying another borrowed PSU it would only boot with memory sticks in either slot 3 or 4 or both but NOT at all if I had any ram in either slots 1 or 2. Has anyone any experience with this problem. Thanks

Have you tested each stick in each slot. Have you set the volts and timings.

If you have done all that sounds like a bad board

had pretty much the same problem with the ga-p35-ds4 got random lockups and problems with not posting .
as with your board mine had developed a problem with slots 1 and 2 for the ram which eventually got worse and worse i found puting pressure on the middle heatsink part of the board helped but ultimately having to replace the board as it got worse

Could be so many things. I dont want to get a new board only to find its a PSU or something else that is failing??

Why would it be the psu.

Its either the bios or bad board or bad memory

Dont think its the memory as ALL sticks work in slots 3+4. It could be the board. But Iv been messing with it most of today and it hasnt booted once so I think what ever it is its finally given up

try the oven trick maybe?

try one stick in slot 4 and put a little pressure on the middle heatsink while booting

Well It seems it is the mobo thats gone. So I need to get another one. I was thinking of a complete upgrade but I cant justify the money needed for that so can anyone recommend me a good Socket 775 board that does SLI then I may just get myself another 8800GTX?
