GA-P35C-DS3R High System board temperature

Hi all..

I have a GA-P35C-DS3R board and I am worried about the main system temps.. There is a rather large Thermalright Ultra 120 on the proc (It's bigger than I thought

which is keep my Quad core cool.

The board starts at 30deg and just sat in the bios rises up to about 50 within about 40s! And rises to 70 in Windows..

Is this normal?

(No overclocking yet, just testing everything)

The CPU or the motherboard temp?

If you mean the CPU then make sure that the heatsink hasn't caught on the northbridge heatsink.

If you mean the motherboard temp, then yeah they do run quite warm.

That's why the DS4 has that mentally huge heatsink on the N/B.

It's the Northbridge temp...

Moved the case around and it's sitting at 57 now.. So it might be ok?

It should be fine anyway.

People worry too much about NB temps.

Agreed 100%. And PWM temperatures. And probably CPU temperatures too.
