GA_965P_DS3 and northbridge coolers

Are they really necessary, or will I be likely to have good enough cooling with a Thermaltake Armour case anyway? Also, what is the real difference between the DS3 and the DS4? I know that the DS4 has 2 PCIe slots, but it doesn't support crossfire or SLi. Thanks in advance.

DS4 has heatpipes for the bridges but you could just put a smal fan by the ds3 heatsink and it'll be ok imo.

I think the ds4 will support cf in the end?
