Hi folks first post here after being a lurker for a while :)
Im intending to fit a water loop and looking for a GPU block thats compatible with the 7800GS+ (AGP).
i have'nt taken the stock cooler off yet.... did'nt want to invalidate the warranty so soon given this cards unreliabilty issues..... Any way, apart from the AGP bridge it appears to be a stock 7900GT layout. Has anyone confirmed what the layout is and what GPU blocks would fit?
All the blocks i've looked at state that 7800GS's are not compatible, however the stock Nvidea 7800GS has a different layout.

God knows mate i am just pulling up a chair out of interest.
I got one of these the other week but it's not been over 49c yet even after a 3 hour thrash of BF2.
What sort of temps are you getting ? are they high or are you just looking to clock the nuts off it.

O and Welcome. :)

thanks for the welcome :)
im getting mid 40's in benchies and BF2.
im looking to put water on for overclocking, got 530/1500 so far, being cautious. im sure it'll go much further with a voltmod and water.
for now though, whilst its ripping up BF2 i don't need to clock it up.
im running an ageing XP3000 Barton though and wanting to put water on to stabilize those higher clocks for gaming.
Since i'd like to fit a loop i may as well go the whole hog and put water onto the GPU.

Maze 4, MCP-01, Fusion HL, they should all fit. I guess you were looking at the full cover waterblocks? They are a waste of time IMO.

Edit: just looked at the DD site which sais the Maze 4 wont fit, looking at a pic of the card I cant see why

Double edit: Does your card have the 2 resistors above the GPU? That's what could be in the way, the Fusion HL *might fit.

nah, i was looking for a GPU stand alone block and RAM sinks. despite the combined GPU/RAM blocks looking very fancy, they are'nt what i want.
i have'nt checked out for resistor mounting yet. looks like i'll have to wait for a quiet period at home and take the cooler off and post some piccies.
i can't believe no ones put water on these cards yet? begging for it :)
maybe like me, everyones nursing their card for fear of it going up in smoke.
judging by the graphics card forum.... there have been a few problems.
