Game to show console buddy that PC gaming looks better

Show him shogun 2 total war with darthmod and go into custom battle and let he see you play a huge battle. If he doesnt get that then hes a big gay, and you should drop him like radioactive waste.

I know what, stick 3d mark vantage on extreme and run it at full screen width and then challenge him to show something like that on a console. Seeing 3dmark2001 running in a store window back in the ti4200 days was what convinced me to save money for my first pc in college.

You can't convert the narrow minded console peasants.

"Yeah but it's not a game, it's a technical showcase" will be his answer to that.

A modern pc is more capable than the xbox but you are comparing 6+ year old hardware to current. Tbh the whole pc looks better thing is really a pointless argument. Of course it looks better it's current tech and cost's considerably more.

The biggest issue is that %99 of pc games are just console ports with the res upped and some AA added. So sat on your sofa 6 feet from your tv I doubt most games look hugely different or not enough to warrant a "My god the difference reaction".

Games are great on any system I have had just as much enjoyment playing xbox games as pc. Just play the games on whatever system...

I showed this to a mate and he refused to believe it was the same game. Looks really next gen compared to the console version.

i think you need to show him the console version, then the PC at console version graphics, then the PC version maxxed out, then the PC version maxxed out with mods

the only other ones i can think of would be Just cause and project CARS. just cause looks alright on the consoles, but on the PC at max settings it looks AMAZING.

also, explain to him that proper AA doesnt make things blurry, it removes the "flight of steps" effect caused by too low a resolution on a diagonal edge
