Game to show console buddy that PC gaming looks better

who cares? if he's happy consoling it let him.

Tbh, unless jaggies are really bad and obvious I couldn't give two hoots. I am still gaming on and old AMD 4400+ x2 64, 2gb ram and 2 x 8800gt's and still have fun (when I get chance to play).

it's not all about the visuals you know ;)

Regardless of how PC games look vs consoles, why anyone would ever want to play games using a games pad instead of a mouse/keyboard is beyond me!

Are u mental? Gamepads are hands down the best way to play most games. Mouse and keyboard for 1st person shooters and rts's, wheel and pedals fro driving, stick and throttle for flying, gamepad for everything else.

Cant imagine games like street fighter or Limbo on a keyboard. Or even something like GTA/sleeping dogs or anything else 3rd person.

My 360 pad is used for racing games, Darksiders, Sleeping Dogs and flying in BF3. Everything else is mouse & keyboard. I don't have any fighting games though. Found GTA 4 better with mouse & keyboard. Used 360 pad for Prototype. Six of one & half a dozen of the other argument when pitching keyboard/mouse against game pad. Having both is definitely the way forward.

I was referring more to the people who insist that FPS games are better played on game pads etc. As far as racing/flying games go i agree that you'd want their specific peripherals. 3rd person games such as GTA though... it's a bit of a mixture. Overall i still prefer mouse/keyboard though as the added accuracy makes up for having to drive using WASD, just my preference though ;)

Street Fighter is 10x better on a good keyboard than a gamepad.

Arcade Stick > Hitbox > Keyboard >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Gamepad

lol i wanted to say exactly that. sf on cm quickfire is nice, and my friend bought an arcade stick. gamepad feels terrible (especially the 360 one).

anyway if your friend isn't trolling (which i think he is), you can tell him jaggies look like everything's made out of stairs. high res textures on pc makes things clearer. higher res does the same, and it lets you see further, as does af. you can turn on bloom, reflections, and various filters. you can get up to 96 more frames per second at 1080p. you can play with eyefinity type setups if you wanted. you can add mods to make things even better. your fov on pc is 90 instead of 70. you have an infinite choice of peripherals and monitors... and if you really wanted you could turn settings all the way down to console and use just a tenth of your pc's power.

i'd be happy with console. it's not expensive and it technically plays everything since games are designed for it. and when you're in bed or on a sofa you probably don't care as much about aa and af and 60/120hz as you do the gameplay. the advantage pcs have is pretty clear and i think your friend's trolling you since he doesn't care about 1080p 8aa 16af or anything. he's probably just happy with his console, and you should be happy with your pc as well
